The main event saw Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu sign the contract for their World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE Backlash, which took a violent turn.
Opening Segment
Seth Rollins came out after a backstage interaction with Roman Reigns. However, Bron Breakker attacked him from behind as he entered the ring. WWE officials intervened, but Breakker returned and leveled Rollins with a massive spear.
Finn Balor vs. JD McDonagh
The Judgment Day stood in JD McDonagh’s corner during his singles match against Finn Balor. Liv Morgan distracted the referee, allowing Roxanne Perez to toss a hammer to McDonagh, who struck Balor and then hit a headbutt before pinning him for the win.
Penta and Je’Von Evans vs. Rusev and Ethan Page
This tag team match drew huge cheers, especially for the high-flying moves from Penta and Je’Von Evans. Despite their efforts, Ethan Page secured the victory with a fisherman suplex on Evans.
Joe Hendry vs. Austin Theory
Joe Hendry performed with a guitar before the match. The bout was quick-paced, but ended in disqualification when Logan Paul attacked Hendry. Chaos ensued as The Street Profits, Bron Breakker, and Seth Rollins joined in, but Breakker stood tall by taking everyone out.
Oba Femi vs. Otis
Otis answered Oba Femi’s open challenge but was quickly defeated when Femi hit the Fall from Grace for the win.
The Original El Grande Americano, Julio Americano, and Bruto Americano vs. Los Americanos (El Grande Americano, Rayo Americano, and Bravo Americano)
This six-man tag team match featured plenty of lucha action. The Original El Grande Americano sealed the win with a suplex and flying headbutt combination on Bravo.
Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu Contract Signing
In the final segment, Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu met to sign the contract for their Backlash match. Reigns insulted Fatu relentlessly, provoking the challenger into a savage attack. The show ended with Fatu locking in the Tongan Deathgrip on Reigns, leaving him unconscious in the center of the ring.
