“The dream is near. Heads up, we have one more step to take! Thank you all for the incredible support tonight,” Ronaldo wrote on X.
Al Nassr was on the verge of celebrating the title on the night, but an unbelievable error by goalkeeper Bento in stoppage time cost the win, forcing the championship celebrations to be postponed. Ronaldo, who had already been substituted, was visibly shaken and left the stadium about half an hour after the final whistle.
