During Barcelona’s trophy parade celebrating their latest La Liga title, 18-year-old star Lamine Yamal made a bold promise to the club’s fans. In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Yamal expressed his gratitude for the fans’ unwavering support and pledged to bring the Champions League trophy back to Camp Nou.
“It’s incredible how they’ve stayed with us through both the important days and the not-so-important ones,” Yamal said. “Barcelona is the club of our lives, and we will always fight for them. We love them.”
Having already won three La Liga titles with Barcelona’s first team at just 18 years old, Yamal is already a key figure in the squad. Reflecting on the significance of each title, he emphasized the importance of cherishing every championship. “We have to value every trophy and every season because it’s not easy,” he stated. “We’ve been through some really tough years, but now we’re truly enjoying this moment. You think about it being Monday, here in Barcelona, with everyone working—yet they still came out to celebrate with us.”
When asked about the possibility of a Champions League victory parade, Yamal didn’t hesitate. “My parents taught me that a man keeps his word… We will bring it back to Barcelona,” he said confidently.
