The reigning NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 131-108 on the road in Game 3 of the second round of the NBA playoffs. The victory gives the Thunder a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
The game, played in Los Angeles, saw the Thunder lead 31-25 after the first quarter, enter halftime tied 57-57, then outscore the Lakers 33-20 in the third and 41-29 in the fourth. Thunder point guard Ajay Mitchell recorded a double-double with 24 points and 10 assists. For the Lakers, forward Rui Hachimura led all scorers with 21 points.
Oklahoma City has now won seven consecutive playoff games without a loss this postseason. The two teams will meet again on Monday in Los Angeles for Game 4.
