Ural FC fighter Nikita Mikhailov has shared his thoughts on Khamzat Chimaev’s loss to Sean Strickland at UFC 328 in Newark, USA.
“Naturally, there’s a lot of talk about the fight outcome. But in my opinion, Chimaev was the winner. He was better in wrestling and also outlanded Strickland on the feet. Yes, Khamzat got a bit tired at times, but that doesn’t mean Strickland was superior or deserved the win. I honestly have no idea why Sean was awarded the victory. None at all. I could maybe give Strickland one round.
I’ve been talking to fighters about this bout, and almost everyone says Chimaev was robbed. This is the UFC — they might have their own internal games,” Mikhailov said in an interview with Championat correspondent Alexander Frolov.
