
Stage 3 of the 2026 Giro d’Italia takes riders over 175 kilometers from Plovdiv to Sofia, once again on Bulgarian roads. This stage is another opportunity for the sprinters, featuring only one categorized climb, well before the finish.
The sole challenge is the second-category ascent of Borovets. While this could tempt attackers to try and avoid a bunch sprint, the finale—a slight downhill run—should still favor the fast finishers.
