According to ESPN, Fulham have added former Flamengo manager Felipe to their list of potential replacements for current head coach Marco Silva, whose future at the club remains unresolved.
Silva’s contract is nearing its end, and the Premier League side has been privately evaluating candidates to potentially take over next season. The Portuguese tactician received a three-year extension offer months ago but has not yet responded, preferring to make a decision after the current campaign concludes.
Silva has built a strong reputation over nearly a decade in English football, making him a prime target for Benfica, who are searching for a new manager. The Portuguese club may lose compatriot Jose Mourinho, who is reportedly close to joining Real Madrid.
If Fulham cannot secure Silva’s stay, Felipe emerges as a practical alternative. The Brazilian has been without a club since leaving Flamengo in March, where he had a successful stint. His European playing experience and strong managerial record in Brazil add to his appeal, along with a key advantage: his agent is Jorge Mendes, the powerful super-agent who also represents both Mourinho and Silva.
Meanwhile, Felipe is also on the radar of Turkish side Fenerbahce. The Istanbul club plans to finalize their coaching decision after the presidential election in early June.
