The “Oupai Cup” 2026 Pingyuan County Youth Campus Football League has officially entered the county-level final stage, bringing together young football players from primary and secondary schools across the region. These athletes are competing passionately on the green field, showcasing the vibrant spirit of local youth.
On May 9, despite drizzling rain and slippery conditions, the players’ enthusiasm remained undiminished. The young footballers displayed excellent skills, teamwork, and relentless determination, embodying their love for the sport and the indomitable spirit of Pingyuan’s youth. The cheers and applause from the sidelines echoed throughout the matches.
The league is jointly organized by the county’s Publicity Department, Education Bureau, Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and the Communist Youth League Committee, with sponsorship from Oupai Home Furnishing Group Co., Ltd. and support from the Pingyuan County Football Association. More than 30 schools have signed up, with over 40 teams and 600 young athletes participating. The regional qualifiers concluded by the end of April, selecting outstanding teams for the county finals. From May 9 to May 31, a series of group matches, semi-finals, and finals will take place, featuring nearly 100 exciting games over the month. The league not only provides a high-quality platform for young players to compete and showcase their talents but also effectively boosts their passion for football, strengthening the foundation for youth football reserve talents. This initiative further promotes the growth of campus football and injects youthful energy into the construction of Meizhou’s “Football Hometown”.
